Can anyone explain to me how to go about writing a feature article?

My creative writing piece mainly consists of an interview between two people and then aftermath of that. How do I go about turning it into a feature article should BOS make us do it - and knowing my luck, they will :/

Go read a newspaper. Look at their feature articles. Then just do the same.

If you are not a rote learner you could easily adapt anything into a feature article. If you are a rote learner then you are screwed if they ask for anything other than an essay.
