that doesnt really loook like general maths but I wouldnt know.. i only just started the course this year but i'll attempt the question.

f(x)= x^2-3, and g(x) = 5x


(fg)(x)= 5x(x^2 - 3)
= 5x^3 - 15x

This is definitely NOT part of the general maths course, and probably more likely to be found in the 3u or 4u courses.

If f(x) = x2 – 3 and g(x) = 5x, then:

f.g(x) = f[g(x)]
= f(5x)
= (5x)2 – 3
= 25x2 – 3

i was thinking since when were there functions in general maths
