A solid sphere of radius 0.05 m and mass 1.00 kg rolls on a horizontal surface with a vlocity of 15 ms-1 and then rolls up an incline at an angle of 20o.If friction forces equal zero, to what height above the horizontal surface will the sphere rise before it comes to rest?
(the moment of inertia of a sphere is given by 0.4Mr2).

umm is this like just like the vertical component?

anyway i'll try

ux = 15m/s

ermm lets see

tan20 = uy /15 therefore 15 x tan20 = uy

5.45m/s

we want vy=0

i'll assume this is on earth, so g= -9.8g

vy = uy +at
0= 5.45 +(-9.8)t
t= 0.556

ahh i forget the formulas, but i dunno that may help u from there
