What do people think of turning a friendship into a friendship with sex?

Of all my friends who ive known to be in this situation, the only reason they say that fwb is a better situation than a proper relationship is because there are no strings attached, no commitments or whatever, but in every single case, them or the other person has hooked someone else whilst they were sleeping together and either one of them got so pissed and jealous about it and then they lose their freindship because it gets all messy.

If being a commitment phobe is the only reason for extending a friendship with sex, it's probably more trouble to do that than to just stop being a pussy/slut.
