"Change is a driving factor in our lives - a single action or event may change our perspective on life: what we hold dear becomes all important. It is this factor that the composers of texts strive to show this by using context and language techniques to shape the responder's perception of life."

Well... Maybe not. Hmm... Do you think it'd be better if I dropped English? :D

i know this might be asking for a bit too much... but was anyone at the ETA area of study and modules day at UTS a couple of months ago?? cos in the "change" plenary session one of the lecturers had this really clear and succinct statement about change... it started off:

"change is a multi-dimensional, complex, multi-layered..."

but that's all i got down because she was speaking so fast. but i remember the rest of the statement really captured the notion of change.
