Getting into medicine after a year (1 Viewer)

Is it possible to go to a uni (i.e. USyd) and then transfer after one year into, say, UWS med? Do UWS students get preference for things like that?

What GPA would I have to maintain? And does it matter which course I get into? Would they consider UMAT + ATAR + GPA or just ignore GPA?

Yes very possible

For going to UWS.

You only need about a credit average (or maybe half way between credit/distinction, not very high) OR 95..you don't need to satisfy both. (If you're rural even less UAI wise)

After that, entry would be like a normal school leaver. You are at NO disadvantage - your final admission will be the same as everyone else; 2/3 interview 1/3 UMAT (or something similar).

Similar case for UNCLE.

FOr UNSW, your GPA will be 1/2 with your UAI, and then everything else is the same as a school leaver.

For the NSW unis, there is not much risk studying at uni, so if you didn't get a high UMAT definitely consider studying.

IIRC, there are no non-standard quotas for these unis, like there are other unis.
