Hey,

I was wondering if anyone could give any advice on how they came up with their ideas for the films ... also insight into researching into theories/genres (not technical editing, shooting, scriptwriting stuff).

Basically advice on coming up with the **IDEA**

Thankyou in advance!

Firstly, try to get a genre or area of interest. I personally looked at my life and found an incident that I can use for a story if i manipulate it to fit what I want my movie to be like ... the simple can be the successful. Don't try too hard, what comes to you freely is usually the best to be used.

Thanks for the reply.

I was wondering ... what would get you the highest mark ....

- A good story/ with good characterisation
- A video which comments or demonstrates critical theories (post-modernism, post-colonialism, idealism, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc.

Thanks

It's not a good idea to go for marks. If it's not something you really love and are passionate about doing, you're going to find it difficult - remember, you have to work on the one thing for about a year! You better love it! :)
