The Butterfly Effect are an awesome Brisbane band that released their album 'Begins Here' last year. Check them out.

check out "In The Grey"...they're brilliant! also "tricity"- melbourne based but mad! i agree with "Butterfly Effect" but they're getting huge so everyone knows them...and check out "Seattle Sound" who play all the classic grunge songs- catch them at the commercial hotel parra and places like that...

ummm....other than that i just got overseas bands- fallout boy, opeth, three days grace, never heard of it ect. very very cool!

I hate it when bands become too commercialised. Fucking fan girls.

I just don't understand liking a band for it's lead singer or because a band member is "such a hottie". If a 14 year old girl came up to me and said she loves TBE for their music, we'd talk.

Anyways, there's a new band around called Vanlustbader. Check them out, their EP came out on Monday.

no, its because as soon as they become commercialised we get the above little braindead bimbos coming to the concerts because its now seen as "cool". its not an issue of individuality, rather the fact that the very essence of the music is compromised as soon as they become mainstream. as soon as its popular to be alternative our music is cool, but when its not popular we're just tossers for listening to alternate music. read the lyrics to "smells like teen spirit" by Nirvana. they were pissed off about it too.

Gyroscope are a brilliant live band.

Some decent Sydney bands are The Lyrical Madmen, Unpaid Debt, Silent Corporation, Destonia and Bagster
