I think for bio, heineman (or what ever) is good for the explaining part
FOr chem, conquering chemistry 2 is good

How to study:
Write comprehensive notes according to the syllabus dot points then do practice questions/ past papers a few weeks before the exam

Jacaranda & Context for chemistry, FOR SURE.
Biology in Focus, a must have for biology. It goes into good detail, not all the detail you'll need to know but it is great.

I do not recommend Jacaranda for Chemistry, we use that our school and its got so much of unnecessary information. you are gonna be wasting a lot of time with that book!!
