The use of flashabck to go back to his decisions and see the consequences of them from the 3rd perrson view.
The use of of the Red rose, This is ymbolic of life love and death. Couple this with the juxtpostion of the red when leister's blood spaater is on the white walls (more juxtapostion).
Quote Leister's obsession with Ricky and his conversation with Ricky at the party when he is a waiter out the back while they are smoking the joint.
Also Leister's Naration throughout the story( quote them), Especially the opening scene above the street and the scene where he dies with the smile on his face (this is the strongest and has the most stuff to write about).
