How does dialogue tells us about people, themes and places?

I used a music video as one of my related text in this module. Do i have to emphasize only how does the singer's tone and tehnqigue to show all those? or can i use how the camera technique is used? ( like zooming in and out, images instead of him singing )

As far as I know, the main focus is on the conventions of dialogue itself, but when you look at the BOS rubric, it includes the composer as a speaker - which means anything goes!

A study day I went to on Strictly Ballroom and Dialogue did refer to film techniques (mainly re characterisation) but I haven't seen an HSC question that really homed in on this.

I'd prbabaly still refer to words, body language, relationship and context, etc. for most of my main points.
