I'm not sure exactly what I'm meant to be doing as we haven't been given many lessons... I just have a feeling there should be more to it?
So far we have studied:
Victorian Crime Fiction
Country House
Hardboiled (and glimpsed at femme fatale and film noir in doing hardboiled)
We've written a creative writing piece for each of those three for homework and THAT'S ALL. We've read two books The Skull Beneath the Skin, The Real Inspector Hound and watched Rear Window.
What happens now? Do we analyse those texts? Do we study more evolutions in crime writing? What the hell will we have to study for the exam? We haven't even had our first assessment which is a critical response in class, but on what? The history of it? The content of the books/movie? Are those two concepts related?
Does anyone have any material that could help... like a general overview of the whole year of Crime Writing? If you can help with any of the questions would help a bunch. cheers.
