hi all

i recently did a prac on the effect of substrate concentration on enzyme activity and am stuck with answering the following question:
any response would be fantastic! thanx!

As the substrate concentration increased, the enzyme activity increased. However, it would reach optimum activity at 50/50 concentration. When the concentration exceeds this, the enzyme activity ceased immediately as the environment/conditions are not optimum/favourable. This is evident in the graph etc.

As substrate activity increase, wouldnt enzyme activity increase until it reaches saturation point where all the available enzyme are being used and hence they are working at maximum possible rate. Adding any more substrate will not have an effect on enzyme activity
