aiming for a 70 atar 🙏

i kind of winged my trials cause i had to work on my multimedia major project in the middle of it, giving myself a maximum of one day before the exams to study, so hopefully with more study (which i have yet to done... i have one week left it's fine...?) i should get band 5+ on everything besides english! (theoretically)

tried it before. i think it's pretty awesome, but sadly there's not enough past data for industrial technology for it to be on there so i can get the full atar estimation but it does output near 70 so that could mean something

Additional information, such as your school rank, would help in providing more accurate estimates. Regardless, from this information, your current performance seems consistent with an ATAR in the high 70's range. More specifically, that would be an ATAR of approximately 76-77. This essentially means that your ATAR goal is likely within reach, as long as you are able to perform sufficiently well in your HSC exams.

Industrial Technology as well as Software Design and Development are your best-performing subjects. This is due to your optimal rank in each. You can capitalise on this by performing well in their HSC exam. If you achieve the highest HSC exam marks in these subjects within your cohort, the moderation process will work in your favour, resulting in your overall HSC mark being made equal to your HSC exam mark. This gives you a great opportunity to maximise your results in both subjects and consequently their contribution to your ATAR.

From this point, the level of performance gradually becomes lower across your other subjects. They can be ordered as follows (with the last indicating least favourable/unfavourable performance):
  1. Business Studies
  2. Mathematics Standard
  3. English Advanced
This indicates that there are areas of improvement that you can focus on addressing as part of your preparations for the HSC exam of these subjects. The more effective your preparations, the more likely you are to perform well in the HSC exam of these subjects, and the more significant their contribution to your ATAR, ultimately bringing you closer to your ATAR goal.

I hope this helps! :D

  1. Current Marks: Your trial marks are generally strong, especially in Industrial Technology and Software Design. Aiming for Band 5+ in your upcoming exams is definitely realistic, especially if you focus on study strategies this last week.
  2. Study Strategy: Since time is limited, prioritize:
    • Key Areas: Focus on areas where you struggled during your trials, especially in English and any subjects you want to boost.
    • Practice Papers: Use past papers and sample questions to familiarize yourself with exam formats and identify areas for improvement.
    • Time Management: Create a study schedule to maximize your time. Break down topics and allocate time for each.
  3. English Focus: For English, consider reviewing key texts, themes, and practice writing essays under timed conditions. Even small improvements can make a difference.
  4. Relaxation and Self-Care: Remember to take breaks and manage stress. It’s important to maintain your well-being during this intensive study period.
  5. Goals and Motivation: Keep your ATAR goal in mind. With your current ranking and the potential for improvement, you’re on the right track!
One week might feel tight, but focused, effective study can yield great results. Good luck with your exams—you’ve got this! 😀
