we're doing history and memory as well at school and it is a pretty f***ed up module. its really helpful if u do history extension and know your debate on historical objectivity and the conflict between documented events and memory. But u have to look specifically at the novel, and show HOW history and memory is represented. I suggest supplementary materials of holocaust survivors such as Primo Levi, the movie Schlinder's List and even The Rabbit-proof Fence. If you need any extra resources, let me know. I'll see what I can dig up for you.

The supplementary materials doesn't necessarily need to be about the Holocaust does it?? Or is it better to keep it within the subject????....and about the "HOW history and memory is represented" that means we have to focus on the techniques right?? exactly, how can we talk about the techniques of a photograph and/or a painting?????

im not sure if you guys can help me but im doing an essay on primo levi's book "the journey". The essay topic is "in if this is a man the Nazis desire to inflict suffering is for the sole purpose of inflicting suffering, nothing more"disuss. if you have any ideas that could help id really appreciate it. also i cant work out how to post my own message or thread or what ever its called i can only know how to reply if anyone can guide me that would be good coz im struggling to work it out
