Australia was involved in the Vietnam War for many justified reasons. Ranging from the distinctive nature of Australia, i.e. our generosity and pure awesomeness, to the deep understanding that Vietnam was in trouble. Such circumstances brought out the best of all of us, and lead us to battle.
Predominantly, Australia entered the war to acknowledge our relationship with China and to structure a purpose within the South-East Asian region. China had many resources that were legitimately in the interests of the Australian Government. Providing assistance to Vietnam concluded that we could invade China and establish our own settlement. As can be seen in today’s society, this did not go to plan.
Compromising with Vietnam also opened up endless opportunities for Australia. We actually came very close to communicating with extra-terrestrial life due to Vietnam’s space program (arguably much better than America’s). However, due to the destruction caused by the War, this feat was abandoned due to economic conditions and money shortages amongst the average household.
Australia also had a good relationship with Vietnam. We wanted to help them defend their own country. There’s a famous, and most distinguished, quote from Prime Minister Barry O’Farrell:
“umad?”
Conclusively, Australia evidently discussed and justified their reasoning behind their involvement in the Vietnam War. As shown above, it was necessary on all levels for our participation.
