Download a file from your provider and look at the speed ?

There's a nifty test here you can try - it is based in America though, so it's an approximate.

There has been an error. This page has been locally cached and as a result it has returned a figure of 81600 kbps.

To try the measurement again hold down the ctrl key and hit the refresh or reload button on your browser.

Thats very dodgey

maybe its because im downloading something at the same time, which is running at 200kbps
Hrmmm, or maybe its because of wireless internet, which shares connecttion speeds or something
