hey peepz,
how do you calculate the GPA if you have failed a subject, and then passed it on your 2nd attempt.
im thinking of 3 possibilties in calculation methods:-
1. Disregard the first failed attempt and only count the most recent passed attempt.
2. Add the 1st attempt and 2nd attempt, and divide it by 2 to get the average mark out of the two attempts.
3. Adding 1 to the denominator. (eg. for a 3 year course, instead of dividing it by 24, you divide it by 25 instead.... assuming you only failed once.)
Anyone know for sure? most people i have asked have no idea how it all works for people who have failed subjects.
