I've only just Started ER, and i need some help with an essay question.

"Human resources are an org.'s greatest asset." Comment.

Where do I start....so confused!

Its really hard though, because we've only had one lesson on Employment relations! The stupid excel book doenst even define HR in its glossary!

Biki doesnt have HR either, its all Employment Relations... Arghhh so confused

Its more a practice thing for homework....

Our TB is um Jaracaranda I think but we dont get to take it home (public school with not enough copies for 2 classes). Ill post what i have so far in a new post

Hrs can be defined as the people who operate and staff an organisation as contrasted with financial and material resources of the business. It also deals with the portion of the org. that deals with hiring firing training and personal issuses.

Could i say stuff like....

EEO, Flexi Hours etc are ensuring workers are staying in the business and are more um wh...oh yeh motivated to work hard ---> resulting in ^^ capital..

Just ensure you cover why/how they are the greatest asset

Something along the lines (am not up to this yet though) of

They are the greatest asset as a bus.'s productivity will define the capital and hence the profitability of a company.

MC what are you talkin about the question is as simple as putting on pants. Just say Yes then go into the usual stuff. Lamont loves what you write so you'll be fine. That and Curtis, Kaz and Lisa won't have done it and we will get distacted talking about Kazza's 18th and how Curtis (probably) stalked his sisters and how Lisa probably hooked up with someone inapropriate again (cousin anyone?)

Lol he had a bitch because I talked about legislation...but to fix it (after an argument) I just need to put in a sentence about, like to strengthen the focus on HR the government has enacted legislation that is subsiquently implement by businesses...or something like that.

And Testpilot was right, we were the only two people who did it...infact everything he said was right...lol
