Hi, I am doing some research on disease in Kenya and have noticed that unlike one would expect, there is no spatial correlation between disease and income.

I am having trouble explaining this in my assignment. I was thinking that maybe, beyond a certain level of poverty, income no longer affects the risk of contracting a disease (i.e. an income of $1 a day vs $2 a day makes little difference in terms of disease).

Has anyone ever heard of a geographical theory which would explain this weird pattern or support the idea that beyond a certain point, income does not affect disease incidence.

Thanks
