we had an essay bout how the composers of each text have represented the conflict between the individuals sense of self and societys conventions

This is what we got for our 1/2 yearly:

"The values of a society may be judged by the freedoms it allows individuals"
How are these values explored and reflected in the texts prescribed for this elective? To what extent have these values been challenged by related texts you havr explored in your individual further study?
