Hi,

Right Hand Rule (Palm->ForceDirection, Fingers->Mag Direction, Thumb->current direction)

I was wondering what the answer to this question is. Ok So when I take into account lenz's law I get my thumb (according to right hand rule) pointing to the top of the sheet.

However your thumb with the right hand rule is the direction of the current. But conventional current flows from + to -... so the positive would be down the bottom and negative up the top?

Any help would be great - got my final exam tomorrow.

Cheers! :)

But it is all neutral :). You will have a buildup of positive charges at the top.
The bottom will become more negative.

Isn't the direction of the conventional current in an INTERNAL circuit from -ve to +ve, whereas in an EXTERNAL circuit it's +ve to -ve? I read that somewhere.
