helllo to all that view and reply to this desperate plea of help.

Can anyone help and explain to me wat in gods name this teacher is asking please:

"Identify data, plan and perform a first-hand investigation to produce a base and common gas using electroysis and identify aspects of their production using common analytical tests. (no procedure will be given)

The experiment is to be written in an appropriate style and will be of a length determined by you. They are not included in the three page research aspects below.

- Outline the role of chemist employed in the commercial use of the solvay process and explain the chemical principles that the chemist uses.
- Identify and assess the raw materials used in the solvay process and name the products and why they need monitoring.
- Describe in detail the current uses of sodium carbonates.

You must produce and submit a three page reaport on the research aspects of these outcomes which you will use to answer questions next week."

Well for the electrolysis part we've done this in class and pretty sure its the production of NaOH the base, and its the electrolysis of NaCl either dilute or concentrated.

And with the solvay process just check out some macquarie guides for some info for hte basis of ur internet and further research in books etc

Hope this helps u, u shoudl try asking ur teaching or classmates what theyre doing if ur on the rite track etc
