Internal transfers (1 Viewer)

Now, I want to transfer from my degree in my sig to instead of science, applied finance, the problem is applications have now closed (my stupid fault). Right now I'm on the study plan of science (adv maths) and one of the subjects I have to do is MATH235 or something (can't be bothered checking), while with the applied finance degree I should be doing an ISYS or COMP subjects.

My situation right now is I'll have to internally transfer after 1st semester, so I want to ask do you think it will be possible if I just do the ISYS/COMP subject (for the finance degree) instead of the MATH subject so that it will satisfy the finance degree I'm transferring into?

Thanks

I was going to do a similar thing this semester if I didn't get in through UAC. I talked to the head of my division, and she said that you can do whatever unit you like even if it isn't a part of your degree. However, depending on the unit, it might not count towards the credit points for the degree you're currently doing. But yeah if you're definately set on transferring then that shouldn't matter to you.
So basically, from what I've been told, yes you can.

Spot on. Case closed.
(and it wouldn't matter if it doesn't count for credit to your current degree, as you'd be changing... assuming all goes well. Would be a problem if your GPA dropped and you couldn't change, and you'd have done this extra non-counting unit, though.)
