Hey everyone,

You may have seen our posters around the uni, you may even have been handed our flyer by one of our friendly committee or been present when lecture announcements were made about it...

This is an invitation for you all to join us on July 8th, to chill and wind down after exams, whilst cruising around Sydney Harbour.

Time?? 7:30pm - 11:30pm
Alcohol?? There is free flow beer and wine from 7.30-10.30. So unlimited beer and wine during that time..
Costs?? $33 for BIZCUTS members, $37 for non-members. There is a 5% discount of the overall price for groups of 5 or more tickets purchased
Music?? RnB/Hip Hop, Trance
Boat?? The Lady Rose
Departing?? From the Sydney Opera House at 7:30pm SHARP!!

For further details or if you wish to purchase tickets, feel free to mail the committee at bizcuts_box@yahoo.com or call 0402 243 746 (Jonathan), 0404 819 728 (Margaret), or 0410 727 111 (Russell) and we'll arrange to meet up with you as soon as possible. Please book before the 29th of June (that's next Tuesday) to ensure that you don't miss out.

Enjoy your break, guys and gals!

Cheers
Margaret

ps. for anyone who's wondering why everyone does the beer+wine+boat thing, it's because it's relatively easier to organise than some other events. However, if you have any interesting suggestions, please feel free to e-mail them to us - we don't bite (unless you get on our nerves real bad.. then we might consider it - j/k :p).

So you're going to be putting hungry uni students onto a boat with unlimited booze and no food, allowing them to become drunker, faster. Thus the vomiting will start earlier, last longer, and wash out harder - not to mention the idiotic tossing of friends overboard to drown in the harbour.

:p

If people wish to drink on an empty stomach, that's their choice... even if we were to provide food on the boat, we could still have people drinking on an empty stomach. This is simply not under our control...

However, now that you mention tossing people into the harbour, I'm thinking that I should invite my enemies and drown them that way... *nods* ... just gotta get them drunk first. ;)

It's just I'm certain there's some policy guideline (perhaps RSA, I don't know) that states you're supposed to have food AVAILABLE when alcohol is served in order to slow its absorption in the blood.

Don't ask me to source it though, I've forgotten. It's common sense after all. :)

If you want the honest truth, no.
But from the committee's perspective, we don't want to be chasing people up until the day before the cruise. Therefore we encourage people to contact us before well in advance. Nuff said.
