Is 1-sin^2 (pi/2-theta) simplified to 1 sin^2 theta? (1 Viewer)

simplify 1-sin^2 (pi/2-theta)

I think the answer is 1-sin^2 theta

But apparently the overall answer is just sin^2 theta??

$1- \sin ^2 \left ( \frac{\pi}{2} - \theta \right ) = 1 - \cos ^2 \theta = \sin ^2 \theta $ since $ \sin \left ( \frac{\pi}{2} - \theta \right ) = \cos \theta$
