I used Conquering, Contexts and Jacaranda all briefly throughout the year and Jacaranda was my favourite by far. A lot of people say it has superfluous information in it, which I won't argue because seriously there is a lot of weird extraneous detail in that book, but I liked the bit of extra depth it had on things that actually mattered. It explains the mechanics of what's going on in a chemical process so much better than most resources which are like 'here, rote learn this definition and equation and move on'. I got a band 6 using mostly just Jacaranda, so it worked for me.
I loved Chemistry Pathways 2 (Macmillan) as well, though it's written for a slightly older syllabus. It's written by the same guy as Jacaranda but it's a little more succinct and to the point. It's about 15 years old now but if you can get your hands on it it's worth the read.
