Hot damn! it is nice too know someone here knows them, or atleast the style of training.

My faith in this forum was dropping by the hour, There is some serious high speed dumbassery being propogated here.

That's disgusting.
I can remotely understand some peoples reaction to elite bodybuilders... Kinda.

But i don't understand How the above is "disgusting" . Explain?

And keeping this back on topic:

Brian Siders recently did a world record 2601lb (~1182.5kg) Total this week:

959lb (435kg) Squat: (mised 1003 pounds, because his foot moved at the top)

777lb (352.5kg) Bench (world record):

He is highly impressive, but he is not an elite bodybuilder, true, he's right up there, but he is a powerlifter. He is not the extreme level at which some people find 'disgusting'.

Hell, he's not even in competition state, if you find that disgusting (Why? may i ask.) he gets a whole 'worse'.

The Dumbbell row was to improve his deadlift first and foremost, not bodybuilding. Though this training will have the sideeffect of making you look awesome.

Edit:

Adding some content -
228kg Olympic Press (it is not a jerk) done at the Olympics done by Serge redding. This record lasted for 3 minutes, until Vasily Alexeev pressed 230kg.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=3nJrYPVJ88M 228kg
http://youtube.com/watch?v=7erVblY7aiU&feature=user 230kg It passed, but there appears to be knee bend, so it appears as a no-lift.

I've never been impressed by power lifters.

Franco Columbu on the other hand, benching 435lb's with his feet off the ground. This is inspiring.

yeah... That is kinda a contradiction. Franco Columbo held the following powerlifting titles at one point or another:
  • Champion of Italy
  • Champion of Germany
  • Champion of Europe
  • World Champion
Also, Heres 600+ lb press feet off the ground, and a broken knee.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=iO8zdzzLHo8

And not to detract too much from Franco's press your showing, but he does have his feet hooked up against the bench, And thus could create tension pressing in.

b...b...but Benni is a powerlifter! I thought you didn't like them! :p he also competes in Strongman occasionally.

Don't worry about the Franco one, it is a very little known fact about alot of the golden age bodybuilders. Actually, most of the top guys started in seperate sports to bodybuilding before entering.

Franco did Olympic Weightlifting, Powerlifting, AND was Italy's boxing champion. Then he went on to become one of the most successful lightweight bodybuilders (he was around 90kg, he is VERY short).

Arnold was a powerlifter before (well, kinda at the same time in the early ages) becoming 8 time Mr Olympia, Then Movie star, then Governator (damn, he's one successful dude!).

Sergio Olivia was a thrower and Discus guy i think... And thus was ridiculously powerful/explosive.

-------------

Now, so i don't wander off, some more content!

Are you lactose intolerant? If so, go for it.

If not, why bother paying more? Carbs and fat are not a bad thing. Especially for a post-workout shake.

Also, just as a frame of reference, i also buy the Pure Nutrition Concentrate. And i have some of their Creatine.
