Kepler's third law states that (just rearranging), where is the period for planet i and is the orbital radius of planet i, for .

We know the following:

  • TEarth = 1 Earth year
  • RJupiter = 5REarthRJupiter/REarth = 5

Therefore, substituting these values gives into Kepler's third law equation gives

(to two decimal places).
