can anyone give me a brief outline of the reason for labour market reform over the past 2-3 decades? i just need some idea of what i should be talking about without being too brief.

labour market reform at start of 85. enterprise bargaining start in 91. start moving towards decentralised system to encourage more flexibility in the workforce (aim: link wage increase to productivity growth). first major reform 1996 Workplace Relations Act (AWAs, 20 allowable, relax unfair dimissal, diminish AIRC roles and TU roles). 1998 Job search, centrelink, work for the dole. 2006 Workchoices, then 08 Rudd shifts back towards centralised.
