hello
im currently a law student studying law/science at university of new england and recently transferred into the course mid year of 2010

im originally from melbourne and want to practice law in melbourne when im done.
does anyone know if law at UNE is good?

i have done some studies in bachelor of science at la trobe university in 2008, 2009 and semester 1 2010 before transferring into the law/science

would it be better to transfer back to melbourne and do law/science ?

UNE law gives an up close and personal education which you wont get at other universities. If you've had to transfer into une to study law you'll have a lot of trouble getting into law at any of the melb uni's.

You need to keep in mind that NSW legislation is different to victoria's

i am also doing a law degree at une and it is a good uni. I find it easier to get great marks and hence a high GPA at the end of the day you have to weigh up whether its better to go to a more prestigious uni and get poorer marks or stay at une and get excellent marks.
I am in no means saying you cant get excellent marks elsewhere this is just my opinion.
remember a degree is what you make of it
