I know there has been heaps of threads already about this, but all the information is all over the place and I have no idea what I'm doing haha. So can someone give me a bit of a how to guide with the timetables? How many classes I do etc, how many hours and everything - and how do I work it out? I really want to be prepared for offers, and want to get a draft done now - any help would be greatly appreciated!! :)

4 classes (LAWS1052 + 3 commerce cores)

Law (I recommend Simmonds or Huggins for Intro)
http://www.timetable.unsw.edu.au/current/LAWS1052.html

Commerce Cores (pick 3)
http://www.timetable.unsw.edu.au/current/ACCT1501.html
http://www.timetable.unsw.edu.au/current/ECON1101.html
http://www.timetable.unsw.edu.au/current/MGMT1001.html
http://www.timetable.unsw.edu.au/current/ECON1203.html

Should be 14hrs/wk; law lecture (2 x 2hrs) + tutorial (1hr), commerce lectures (3 x 2hrs) + tutorials (3 x 1hr)

Also you should be able to fit it in three days if you want- I did that fairly comfortably

Personally, I'm doing ECON1101 (Microeconomics), ECON1203 (some business stats thingo) and ACCT1501 (introductary accounting thing) and I think this is a pretty standard first sem combo- interesting to see what others did in the first sem

Yeah, I did the same as Deswa. It's so sad that the 11am starts are filling up quickly!

Some people do MGMT1001 instead of ECON1203.

The general combos are:
a) ACCT1501, ECON1101 & ECON1203
b) ACCT1501, ECON1101 & MGMT1001

Nope. ECON1202 no longer a compulsory course for Commerce. I believe they got rid of it starting around 2009.

So recently I've been getting heaps of request for a 3 day Comm/Law draft timetable. This is for Mon, Tue and Thu.

LAWS1052 Lec = Cl 5369
LAWS1052 Tut = Cl 5387
ECON1101 Lec = Cl 2510
ECON1101 Tut = Cl 2599
ECON1203 Lec = Cl 2666
ECON1203 Tut = Cl 2679
ACCT1501 Lec = Cl 1746
ACCT1501 Tut = Cl 1767

There are also other combinations that yield 3 days.
