wondering if the direction of travel will affect length contraction of a cube
the following question was in my trial:
a cube shaped space probe with sides of 100m flies past a space station. an observer on the space station measures the width of the space probe as 85m. the observer would measur the height of the space probe as

(A) 85 (B) Between 85 and 100
(C) 100 (D) unable to be dertermined on this data

the teacher is still undecided so i am wondering what everyone else thinks

D as any Vy velocity isn't mentioned

If you're talking about the dimensions of the cube assuming no vertical velocity, it's obviously C. anyone that tries to dispute this 'because its a cube' is confused

wut's more, the question is vageu in such a way that the cube may be tilted... in which case, tis even more D... but i am sure the teachers intended it to be C...
