Right-click and check the link location (mozilla) or shortcut (IE). Someone has copied the link using copy and past, rather than using the "right-click" method.

The "......" are copied and the actual address is lost. Don't know if it is so at the source, or the way in which the original poster posted it in the thread.

Regardless of whether it's not there or not, redruM's premise is correct.

you can see if you hover. Like redruM said, you need to right click to copy the link, rather than the text. The elipsis before 'very long folder' gives a hint that the link's been shortened.

That being said, the file might not be there, as you said.
