When collecting water samples from the field why should their be no air bubles in the sample??

If you are doing a dissolved oxygen test, air bubbles will produce a false reading (ie. a higher oxygen concentration). Additionally, since there are air bubbles present, the atmosphere is interefering with the sample, so this may affect other results if doing other tests.
