The Maquarie Study Guide for Biology

I got a copy of the Maquarie Study Guide for Biology,
I'm a huge fan of their study guides, the business studies one has practically saved me.

The Bio one is really good, the 3 core topics are covered really well, the only problem I have with it is that it only contains 2 options: Communications & The Human Story.

I'm doing Genetics: The code broken? so i was a little annoyed, but still got it anyway...

it has excellent content, with most of the prac's and useful diagrams.... it is also detailed enough to be of use.

In my opinion they dominate the Excel books completely.

ps. I wanted to get the Modern History one aswell (to complete my set)... but its not getting released until after the HSC... whats the deal with that?....

All of the 'revise in a month' books are worthwhile:D - great for the night before cramming:read:

I just bought Macquarie and have to say that its the best study guide, by far, for bio.

The only problem with Mac. is that they follow the syllabus too well, in that there is nothing extra and the info is not integrated. Which is great if you're learning it for the first time or if you are making sure you have covered everything - but is far from ideal when it comes to cramming. Use 'revise in a month' for that:D

the mac guides are pretty crap IMO, half the stuff in their books is a combination of wats already in excel and on hsc online.
