What matters for your final HSC mark is your rank, not the actual mark you get for your internals. Your 'internal' mark you get in the HSC is actually not that percentage, but it is a mark determined by how well your cohort does in the HSC. This helps to mitigate exam/marking differences between different schools. As an example, if you rank 5th internally, you will receive the 5th highest HSC exam mark of your cohort, for your internals mark. So say the top 5 marks your cohort achieves in the HSC exam (in order) are 94, 93, 91, 87, and 85. In this example, your mark for internals would be 85. Your examination mark however you keep - it is whatever you actually score in the exam.
With that being said, while quotes and techniques are important, they NEED to be used to supplement your analysis. Your response means nothing without analysis - you're just chucking a bunch of useless quotes and techniques out without explaining them. Your quotes and techniques must prove something - a point, a concept, they have to have a reason to be there. Maybe ask your teachers if they can mark some practise responses of yours prior to your next exam, and give you more detailed feedback on how you can improve? You really don't want to bank your hope on the fact your HSC marker will be busy and trying to "get the bag". While they might be trying to quickly get through a paper, they do also have to be accurate (e.g. an 18/20 is marked the same across 2 separate markers), or they could be locked out of the marking system (random checks are done to ensure fair marking is the case).
I hope this helps, good luck with your studies!
