Hey guys. I just wanted some clarification in a math Question in the SC paper

78.Raelene earns $600 per week. Naomi earns $1100 per fortnight. Danny earns more than Naomi but less than Raelene.

How much could Danny earn each month?

Indicated whetere each of the following is Correct or Incorrect.

a.2250
b.2330
c.2500
d.2580

from wat i can tell the correct amounts he can earn is a and b
but the answers says c and d are correct... so which is which?

It's c & d.

You're doing your calculations based on a month = 4 weeks. Converting it to a yearly basis, that's 48 weeks a year.

There's 52 wks/yr.

So in working out what Danny earns, you have to find what Raelene & Naomi earn times it by 52, then divide by 12 for a per month amount.

Umm, it's c and d.

Most months have 30 days or 31 days. Basically what Tal said.

N/A
It's C and D

52 weeks in a year, 26 fortnights, 12 months

Raelene: =$600 x 52/12=$2600
Naomi - $1100 x 26/12 =$2382.33

Danny can earn c) and d)
