Hi, Does anyone know of any programs (aside from graphmatica) which can graph curves, shade in integration areas, draw tangents, etc? The reason for not using graphmatica is that the graphs produced are sometimes to 'zoomed out' or to 'zoomed in'. Also, they look sh*t.

Are there any programs that can make the graphs that they make in textbooks / hsc?

Cheers?

Are you using a Mac?
A great programme is ANUGraph. It's old but it's great.

Failing that, go to www.peda.com and have a look at GrafEq.

There's another one which I haven't used called "fxGraph", specifically for windows.

Winplot is another free programme from Peanut Software (http://math.exeter.edu/rparris/winplot.html)

I suppose it depends on how professional you want to be.
