okay.

well im mathematics (2u) im only doing getting around average marks, so should i drop to general? cause im quite sure i can get over 90% for those...

i'd rather get a maximum uai than fill in my 'assumed knowledge' subjects.

so what would YOU guys do if you were in my position?

cause i dont think my marks are worth all the efforst i put in to them, cause if i do general maths, they have all the topics which were my strengths last year, and i think i can then spend more time on my other subjects.

i read in ur profile that you're interested in science/biotech? if you are looking into a career for that, don't drop two unit and go back to general. you will have to use two unit level (at least) in uni.

I know people who have dropped down to general from 2 unit at around this time and they've struggled... not because its hard but because they have like a year and a half of work to catch up on. Even if it is easy... doesn't mean you'll remember it from like... Yr 9 and 10. (I'm scoring much higher marks than the people who dropped down from 2 unit to general this year.)

And... what watatank said.
