Maxima Minima Problem, please help! (1 Viewer)

I've been trying to do this Q all arvo and im not getting the same answer in the back please help anyone, the answer is 72cm^2, can someone please explain the general steps and what eq's to use.:confused:

*A rectangle is cut from a circular disc of radius 6cm. Find the area of the largest rectangle that can be produced.

For future reference for these type of questions the largest area of any rectangle is when it is a square so when you do these questions if you don't get a square then you are doing it wrong :)

Sounds good.
Or do you need a 150+ IQ to master Problems on Maxima and Minima ?
