i was just wondering, when reading the booklet that they provide, it says u need to fill out the preference so that u can gain entry into a the specified scholarship course in ur UAC application.

does that mean u can just put it as an preference on the form no matter if its last? so with that u get a normal entry option and if the scholarship succeed so that u can also get an option into that; like 2 choices?

ie: UAI 99 (lol dreaming, asif i get that high)

1 BLaw 99
2 BLaw 98
3 Scholarship 96..

does filling the form like above gain me entry into the scholarship if my interview is successful?

I think it doesn't matter what preference you put down for the course you want the scholarship, they will offer it to you even if you put the course down last. Of course if you don't get your course your scholarship offer will be withdrew and offered to the next-best applicant.

hm... but for the above example, i won;t be offered a place at UNSW scholarship, but only the first choice cause i meet the requirements and uac will only give me that.

so to take the scholarship do u have to actually be offered a place by uac like the above or can i just put it done as the last preferences where uac will not offer me a position cause i got higher uai and a degree above (say first,) get it, and because i just got a preference for UNSW Scholarship, would NSW offer me a saparate enrollment thing if everything else is successful?

MC Scholarship? Malcolm Chaikin Scholarships? it has a UAC code for that?

Anyway afaik the answer to your question is: "have to actually be offered a place by uac like the above". If you want to get the scholarship for the subject you have to be offered a place it it. That's it. Just by putting the degree in the preference and not get offered will not give you the scholarship.


In fact let put it this way. THey first see who got offered, then they decided who to give the scholarship out. So technically you can't get a scholarship until you get offered a place. Even if the person who got it has uai lower than yours, it wouldn't mean you should have got the scholarship instead of him.

sorry about the stupid heading, um... its actually coop scholarship that i was refering to.. but is it the same entry thing as the MC scholarship you guys mentioned?

COOP is a bit different, but the steps are about the same, that is they choose you after you being offered.
