The traffic into this forum has been pretty slow, but I'll try and help.

I didn't do this degree, so I can only offer generic advice. You can check out all the courses in the program information page: http://www.newcastle.edu.au/program/11017.html . You have to do HUBS, which everyone hates.

I actually was planning on doing this degree (kinda long story) so did some research, like 6 years ago. IIRC it sounds like a pretty good course; at the time they were showing off some statistic about how basically no one ever dropped out or changed degrees.

i did the first year of it then transferred out and im doing it at Sydney now.
Its a pretty good degree overall, nice lecturers, good content in all except 1 or 2 of the courses that i did, but those were irrelevant courses (HLSC1000 was the worst). The only thing i find hard about this course is that when you go on your clincial placements, most of the supervisors will tell you to "forget what you've learnt and do as i say". Its a very much self-learning program imo.
