my school is in the top 50 in the state (i think maybe the top 20)
i usually get the average in tests we do
my atar aim is 84+

so if i am consistently average throughout the year and im ranking somewhere in the middle of my form, but my school is like in the top 20 and does really well in the external exams,
then am i likely to get an ATAR of 84+??

I disagree. you will probably drop out of the HSC and work at Woolworths for the rest of your life.

No offence you may be attending the number one ranked school and be in the middle percentile of your school however if you do not try or get lousy marks it will not help you to achieve your goal. They lesson to be learnt: you can cheat the hsc because in the end it will eventually find you out
