Need help choosing which english to do? (1 Viewer)

Hi guys. I'm currently in year 11 and am wondering if i should drop out of English Advanced and do ESL.

I have been living in Australia for 4 years now. My English is average for a year 11. I have been studying English my whole life but overseas the English is very different and very easy. They don't even go into much detail as they do here. I am currently doing English Advanced and i am finding it a bit difficult. Anyway I am going for Dentistry and was wondering if i should do ESL. I heard that doing English Advance boosts your ATAR and that doing English Standard will weigh your ATAR down, do you know wat doing ESL will do to your ATAR and should i do it?

Just don't do standard, it aligns really bad, If you are struggling with advanced then you can drop to ESL if you have the requirements to do so. in ESL it is possible to get great marks.
