I'm not entirely sure, although as far as I'm aware, proof by contradiction involves establishing the validity of a proposition by showing that assuming the proposition to be false leads to a contradiction. Does this appear to be the case of the working included above? If not, then it is likely that this would not classify as proof by contradiction.
