Not feeling it - what do i need for 96.90 atar (1 Viewer)

Hey there!

So I just got my marks back.
Bio: 72%
R.E: 18/20
Business studies: 45/50
English: 18/20
Chemistry: 28/30
Math 2u: 54% (did not study ... regret)
Eng ext: N/A

With these marks and the course I want ..GAH... My teacher today gave us a lecture about the HSC and made us all feel incredibly uninspired. I felt as if all my hopes and dreams were trampled on by this witch.

I need a 96.90
And with what people are telling me: YOU NEED TO RANK FIRST, GET HIGH 90'S. I'm not there.

What would be the best mark for each subject to reach my goal?

I'm doing 1U SOR.
Would've loved to do 2U.

My school is ranked 199 I believe.

umm reckon fluctuating between 77-90 anywhwere between im guessinggg

maybe 80-85 star. Why would you not study for a 2u maths test! It is still possible to achieve that atar (btw which course are u trying to get into) but you need to come first or second in every subject for every remaining test and kill the hsc. I.E - Don't leave your room once you get home and study efficiently every night for 4-5 hours+. If you want it badly you can do it...

DON'T EVEN THINK of uni transfer at this stage. If you can't even compete with those HANDFUL AMOUNT of people(4-5 people) in your school to be at the top, what makes you think that you can compete with the 100+ people in uni who wants to transfer to courses with high atar cut offs?

You still have your trials and other assessments. Seek help from your teachers( that's what they're there for) and get a tutor if you need to improve.
And tbh, your subjects aren't that difficult compared to physics and economics. You can still catch up on concepts and work your way up.

And I'm not trying to sound mean, but if you can't even be bothered studying for a 2UNIT MATHS EXAM, are you sure that you want to do engineering? Engineering is like hard core maths. Even people who did 4u maths still find it difficult, and those people I know who did 4u maths and really did work hard in 3u and 4u in high school still find engineering at uni insanely difficult.

Based on your subject choices, I think commerce is more realistic for you. Compared to commerce/ engineering. The cut off for commerce at usyd is 95, which is as high as commerce/engineering (also around 95,96).
