Nominations have now closed, so it's time for a voting intention thread.

NSW has optional preferential voting, you can number as many boxes as you want for the Assembly. In the Council you can vote above the line, numbering as many groups as you want, or below the line, where you number a minimum of 15 candidates.

See who is running in your seat and for the Council: http://candidates.elections.nsw.gov.au/default.aspx

Not doing any preferences this time, as nobody is running who deserves them.

Electorate: North Shore
1 Jillian Skinner (Liberal)

Legislative Council
Above the line
1 Group A: Liberal/Nationals

Well, I can't vote, however, I will be out and about campaigning at Wyong Grove PS. You'll see me in the Yellow Keep David Harris t-shirt.

If I could vote,

I would go,

1 David Harris (Labor)

Legislative council

Would number most boxes below the lines because I don't want roozendaal elected.

It is frustrating that people often just vote greens because they hate the two major parties without really understanding the policies/views.

Just voted.

Decided to go below the line For the council. First 10 prefs were libs and nats (excluding David clarke) then a couple of ORP candidates, then preferences the rest of the lib/Nat group.

Dan: which group on the ballot was the sex party?

Last night Liberal backbencher Peter Abetz spoke in support of the legislation and used the example of Hitler.
He said the dictator gained support because he provided people security in a time of anarchy.

"When it comes to the crunch, people prefer to be safe than to have freedom," he said.

Keneally easily outperformed O'Farrel at their shared community forum last night. Speculation about leadership on both sides is rife now.
