Now that I have your attention
I read somewhere, on the BOS webpage that artworks/majorworks cannot have any offensive material, drug use, alult themes, or offensive content in them eg nudity.

Unfortunetly I lost the source but could someone clarify this for me (my art teacher is both unreliable and absent) as my Entire major work is a painting in which the figures are pointedly nude- as a symbollic thing, and which is Not wholly explicit etc.
I am now officially very worried. :(

So what exactly is acceptable?

there is a girl in my artclass who is doing these giant charcoal line drawings of naked women...they are devine. I guess it depends on the way they are posed: her drawings focus on the sensuality and beauty of the female form so you don't actually notice the nudity.

There's nothing wrong with it---check the board of studies site for the criteria...that's what you should being going off. One of the issues for nudity in works is school. I dont think you can take pictures of nude people at school (in school time)...but i guess there's also the issue of taste, you want your artwork to make sense, to get you marks; not just be pornography ( but is that art, what is art these days???)...i guess that means there should be some sort of logic behind it.

You can definitely do nudity, it's been done in the past...there was one work this year in ArteXpress with paintings of a nude woman. I think by explicit material they mean pornographic or leaning towards that side of the spectrum.

Yeah, a few years ago at art express there were these 3 massive canvasses of two women having sex, very realistic and explicit, but yeah, art exppress, so woo!
