For nursing, I have it on outside/jealous knowledge that UTS is good. Sydney uni changed their B of Nursing curriculum starting from this year, and it sucks the big one. Basically, in Sydney uni, you are going to learn theory and in UTS you willl learn the practice. Pick whichever scenario you will get least frustrated in!

Ok, for Nursing, pretty much every Uni but Sydney. UTS is great, so is UWS, ACU, Wollongong and CSU. Like Yoshi said, Sydney is all theory and in nursing, you need alot of practical.

I'm going to either Charles Sturt (Bathurst), Catholic or Western Sydney for Nursing, all of which have alot of pracs and a pretty good rep.

Although, no matter which Uni you choose, you'll always have a job at the end ;) - just pick a good hospital to do your transition program, and you should be sweet :)

Yoshi - do you do nursing at Sydney? If ya do, and don't like it, why not transfer to UTS...?

LOL - every Sydney Uni Nursing student I talk to doesn't like Sydney Uni... ;)

Nah, my girlfriend goes there, and she would love to change to UTS but doesn't (and for HSC, barely didn't) have the marks for it. Everyone in the course is complaining about it, but it's falling on deaf ears (I've heard her tell stories about one tutor who has been _petitioned_ against by a large number of students from every year of nurses, and nothing happens). Not to be spiteful or anything, but she also says the faculties she is in are quite disorganised.

I hear that alot from Nursing students at Sydney - nobody likes it. LOL.. so, I'm certinally not going there ;) But she could always try transfering to UWS or ACU, it wouldn't be as compeditive but both have good names, esspecially Australian Catholic, for Nursing...

ACU is in North Sydney for Nursing, and I think teaching is at Strathfield. It has a pretty good rep for Nursing and, if you wanna teach in a Catholic school, ACU gives you a bit of a boost if you do teaching.

Yeah, UWS is all over Western Sydney :) Bankstown/Milperra is my closest.
